Who are we?
TALAMA is a not-for-profit association governed by the French law of 1901, founded in France in 2025. Its main objective is to make a tangible contribution to human and environmental development in southern Morocco.
Our organisation is distinguished by its dual Franco-Moroccan roots, which enable it to benefit from the skills, commitment and resources of volunteers from both countries. This collaborative approach enables us to respond effectively to the needs of the region’s rural populations by providing access to drinking water, basic health services, educational programmes, sustainable environmental initiatives and local solidarity initiatives.
The name of our association, TALAMA, is steeped in meaning and history, handed down through the generations. Today, it embodies a collective movement to provide tangible support to the region’s most disadvantaged people.

Message from the President
Dear members, dear friends,
It is with great joy and pride that we announce the official creation of the association TALAMA – Environnement et Développement.
TALAMA is actively committed to helping the poorest rural communities in southern Morocco. Our mission is to bring about sustainable improvements in living conditions through practical action – access to drinking water, local healthcare, adult literacy and training for local relays.
But let’s be clear: without resources, nothing can move forward. The ideas, the will and the energy are all there. What we need is support. That’s why TALAMA was born: to bring together all those who want to take action, however modestly, for a fairer future.
Every gesture counts. Thanks to your contributions, things are already changing on the ground: cleaner villages, less disease, more autonomy. Together, we’re building a more dignified future.
With our first office, we are strengthening our local roots and developing partnerships in France and Morocco. Our aim is to increase our impact, raise our profile and mobilise even more members around this common cause.

L’Association TALAMA – Environnement & Développement est une association à but non lucratif (loi 1901), fondée en France et déclarée officiellement le 18 février 2025. Elle incarne un double ancrage franco-marocain, en agissant pour le développement humain, social et écologique, principalement dans le Sud marocain, tout en favorisant un pont de solidarité entre la France et le Maroc.
The TALAMA association works mainly in rural and peri-urban areas, where basic needs are often neglected. Our actions are carried out on the ground through community projects in the fields of education, health, the environment and sustainable development. We work closely with local people, local authorities and other partners to achieve a real and lasting impact.
